Lighting Lives One at a Time
‘Starlight’ is a start-up charity project established by a team of 30 people from very diverse backgrounds, all united under James Cook University, Singapore. Our CEO, Mr. Desmond Chow is a multi-talented aspiring entrepreneur that also lectures, markets and strategises business, to name a few of his talents.
Despite the diverse skill sets that our team possess, we still need support to fund for our cause. Namely, to brighten up people’s lives by lighting up their homes through a self-assembled kit that reduces the reliance on electrical energy, specifically in poverty stricken areas lacking electricity access such as Nepal, Manila, South Africa, Indonesia and so on. In a world with rising ecological carbon footprints contributing to Global warming, it becomes imperative to save energy. ‘Save Energy by Saving costs’ is the fundamental driving force behind this groundbreaking idea.
Therefore, we need your help to bring light and hope to the less privileged! Your donations will be an invaluable contribution to the lives of people and the environment. With just $20, you can help better the lives of those who live without the privileges that we fortunate enough to enjoy every day. We have come up with a product that effectively saves costs by utilising solar power. Our unique product, called Starlight, will come in a box complete with instructions on how to assemble the pieces in the box by yourself. It’s so simple everyone can do it! You can feel in control of your electricity costs as the product enables a quick switch to a more sustainable and renewable form of energy, Solar power.
