About Us

MISSION
“Starlight” is dedicated to providing sustainable and functional light sources to the most poverty-stricken areas in the world. We strive to donate light to the dark homes of slums around the world by using green energy sources and recycling plastic bottles. Our focus is on the following 10 countries that are in dire need: India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
VISION
We aspire to take the first step towards providing the world with easier access to sustainable lighting, thus, reducing long-term power shortages and encouraging environmental protection. We aim to educate and raise global awareness regarding renewable clean energy. Additionally, we intent to expand our project to other countries facing similar issues concerning the lack of light, by partnering up with solar power companies and charity organizations.
OUR GOALS
Inspired by Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015, we want to bring renewable clean energy to communities in need and combat climate change.
Affordable and Clean Energy
By 2030, we will ensure the slum areas in the ten countries have access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for electricity.
Climate Change
By 2030, we will recycle more than 20,000 plastic bottles to make solar bottle lights for disadvantaged communities in the ten countries.
